The original thread got closed, so here is my brief report:
Ok, it took me a LONG time to report back, but…I played with the boat all spring/summer. Here are some notes:
1. The 5.7L 350 MAG Mercruiser with 26P Bravo III drive/2.20:1: Runs strong, not weak at all. I’m sure the 8.1L is even stronger but I have no complaints with the 5.7 in this weight class and hull style.
I can pull boarders up with ease and I can throw tubers at will. The 5.7L has a nice tone when you open the Thru-Hull Corsa exhaust. With just me and the wife, trimmed up on a calm day I see about 53mph. I think I got 26 hours on her this season; I was too busy most weekends. I will do better next year!
The seating can get tight if you carry more than 6 adults. You could squeeze in 8 adults but it wouldn’t be as comfortable.
The stock head unit remains as far as the stereo is concerned. All other components were replaced. With all the new audio (4 in boat spks, 2 tower spks, 1 subwoofer, 2 amps), a drive shower, and 2 LED arch lights I walked out at $58k. I know some will think that’s high, but I couldn’t find this boat for sale anywhere in the U.S last spring and have only seen 1 other since my purchase and it was considerably higher in cost, with almost 100 hours. (Versus my 0 hours)
It is getting winterized this week and put away until Mar/Apr. Thanks for all the inputs earlier this year.
