after reading a bit and listening to the spin Dr's on CNN and FOX it seems the news is about 4 years old and is being rehashed by the rehubs to insert the fear factor card,<br /> subsitute "communism" for terrorism and we go backwards 50 years.<br /> same game different names.<br />seems really nothing was foiled by a US interest and no actual attepmt was made. seems our intel from pakistan blew the lid but by that time there were no suicide pilots.

Supposedly, the senate security council has a broad overview, but not necessarily the details, of whatever nat’l secrets are current. They knew the stealth bomber was being built, but didn’t know the details of the aircraft, that kind of thing. Nothing on the foiled plot. Nothing!!!

Sorry guys this announcement by the administration was all about politics. It occurred without illegal wiretapping, it happened two years ago and the administration did not use the proper announcement channels advising the city at that time.<br /><br />Simply a political move to excuse the unlawful wiretaps.

Classic Clintonism, and it worked.<br /><br />I think it was more to do with drawing attention away from Scooter Libby who testified that Vice President **** Cheney authorized the leak of Valerie Plame's name to the news media...which is a felony but not a sirius one like lying about sex.<br /><br />LOL......

4 years ago the admin. found out that a radical muslim with al quida decided he was not interested in dying for the cause. Now it is used as if without illegal wire tapping Los Angeles would have been hit. <br /><br />I for one am tired of this type of fear infested attempts by this administration. Is there no true to them at all.

An unfounded rumor. What was leaked was that Scooter “Pie” Libby’s lawyers would be filing papers with the court saying they planned to use as a defense that VP Sprockety gave Scooter Pie permission to leak the name. The atty’s vehemently deny it, saying they have not and will not be filing any such papers with the court, and that VP Sprockety has absolutely nothing to do with Scooter Pie’s defense.<br /><br />All in all, the rumor sounds like one of those talking point memos the Demo-rats/communists (same thing) put out.

The skeptic in me thinks it is to try and buy some political brownie points. <br />The heat is on so lets try to cool it off by releasing "news" to support our position.<br />Misleading the public is not new to this administration.<br /><br />One would hope that the gradual erosion of our rights would result in some level of increased security.
