Well, between the 45$ for two 6gallon tanks of gas and the 55$ fishing license, I didn't get to go fishing in my 30year old boat/34yr. old motor that I was pulling behind my 10yr. old pickup that has 242,000 miles on it. My 67 year old dad was also going to be hit for 55$ for his license, too. It seems a person can't even go fishing anymore without paying out the you-know-what.. I feel like I'm asking the king to hunt deer in Sherwood forest when I ask for a hunting or fishing license now.
Just an FYI for out-of-staters planning fishing trips in the South. And I think my home state of Louisiana is just as bad. What a shame.:(

BTW, The one-day pass was 15 dollars and it expires at midnight (it was 7:00 p.m. when I asked for the license) so I might have gotten a couple of hours of legal fishing time on the "one-day permit".

I feel ya...

I've been saying for awhile now, that it won't be long and you'll need a permit, tag, or license to breath.

Just more taxes on more things. I think they're trying to make it harder to be self reliant. That, and having to regulate the few that just poach and overlimit everything they can.
