I went to fog the cylinders and I cant seem to get the spark plug wrench on the plug. The manifolds are keeping the wrench from sliding over the plug all the way. How the heck am i suppost to get the spark plugs out to fog??
I got it, I just took my socket to my grider and ground it down and it works good. Thanks!!!
You have to remove the spark plugs to spray the inside of your cylinders. Spraying the carb is only one step in fogging.

I was going by what my father taught me and that is what it also says on the can to do. Im sure everyone has there own way of doing it. Its sad putting the boat away for the winter regardless!!

I never pull the plugs on i/o's. If you throttle it by hand as your spraying you'd be surprised how much of a can you can get in there.... And the amount of smoke you get when you do.
The only time i pull plugs is on 4 and 6 cylinder OB's. Even with a can in each hand by the time you get to the last cylinder the first one has burned through it already.
Why not spray the fogging oil into the carb with the engine running. It goes the same place the air passing through it goes. That would be directly into the cylinders. Plug removal is not necessary.
Not only does spraying into the carb while the engine is running coat the piston and cylinder wall, but it also gets the inside of the manifold and valves/seals. The only down side is the potential to kill the spark plugs.
I have a number of spark plug sockets, and some of them have thinner walls than others- the thin walled sockets work fine to remove the plug, while the thicker ones frequently will not get far enough down to engage the sides of the plugs.
