Flywheel cover won't fit new engine

I just bought a replacement engine for my 1992 Mariah and the bellhousing/flywheel cover wont fit on the new block. everything else bolted on minus a few wiring connections. Will a new cover still line up with motor mounts etc...???

Have no idea what engine you had, or what you now have or even what drive it will be hooked to.

Did you buy the same vintage engine, or go newer?

New engine is 2010 gm 4.3 v6
old engine 1992 gm 4.3 v6
alpha one gen ii
the new engine has a balance shaft old motor does not

Ayuh,... Why not,..?? It should bolt right on...
