Florida crusing from west to east thru Okeechobee

Hi,

Does anyone have good routing and places to stop going from the west coast of FL, perhaps Ft. Myers, to the east cost thru lake Okeechobee, to West Palm?

West Marine sells a large, one page chart of just the route. Bought one last year in Cape Coral.

We picked up a 35' sea ray there and were going to cross over. Lake Okeechobee was way down and dropping so we had to go around through the Keys.

Not many places to stop. Clewiston is the most popular stop.
