flooring

need to put flooring in my 18' Larson....tore out the old ratty, moldy carpeting...but don't want to go back w/ carpeting....any suggestions on any other type of flooring...preferably cheapest route...if ya know what i mean

What was under the carpet? Is it glassed? If so, you can just add some nonskid to some paint and paint it.

it's plywood w/ fiber over it....worn somewhat in the middle...but from sides to 18" towards the center is good fiber<br />will prob replace wood in center(rotted) and possible paint w/ textured paint...is this an ok method?

Just make sure you glass it and paint right over it.<br /><br />Now, here is a money saving tip. You can use plain old Rustoleum brand paint and add some of their inexpensive no-skid right into the paint. Based on research posted here a while ago, done by a boating mag, the Rustoleum is as good for floors as expensive marine topside paint.
