We are trying to decide on what type of covering will be best for our houseboat on the back deck that is not covered and takes a pounding as far as sun and rain. Carpet, paint, vyinal, etc. We just purchased the boat and I think the back deck has something like marine Tough Coat on it. It has a few cracks and has leaked around the plug where the black tank is cleaned out. It has two compartment doors on the floor where the motor is located. Need to work around the opening and closing of that. Also, it needs to really protect the edges of the boat because there has obviously been dings in the past from bumping into something which caused the coating to crack, thus water damage. Everybody has a different opinion .....Please let me hear yours.

Check out a very fine product called Coosa Board.....impervious, indestructible, light weight.....never have to replace it again!

Mr. Graham,
It looks like the Coosa board is for replacing the rotten areas on the plywood.....right? Not for covering it after repairs are made???

Yep, it's a light green color with a non-slip texture.....might not even need carpet.....but you could always glue some carpet on there if you want....
