I Have A 1978 Gator Bass Boat Im Strarting To Redo The Whole Boat I Got The Carpet Out And The Floor Is Week I Took A Small Section Up And It Looks Like there Is A layer Of Fiberglass then Wood Then Another Layer of Fiberglass On top What Kind Of Fiberglass Do I need To use On the Floor I Dont Know The Right oz To Use Any help would B App.

there are basically two types of RESINs... Epoxy and Poly... both are good and there is a never ending discussion about which to use... epoxy cures harder and is a bit more expensive and Poly is cheaper and not as hard but durable and will work fine.....

the idea wether you go with epoxy or resin is to seal and protect the wood and to also give reinforcement to the wood structure as well as the boat structure itself... simply using resins will not work they must be used with a MAT ... there are alot out there and i personally like the 4-6 ranged due to the coverage and heavier MAT...

Remember if you find any rot i can garantee you you WILL FIND MORE... if your up to a challenge and want to fix it and do it once. then this is the perfect place for ya there is a wealth of information the guys here provide and many will be there every step of the way helping out with any question ya have.
