A buddy races a rotary engine Mazda (auto)at various high level circuits and he tells me he uses Havoline 2 cycle oil mixed in his gasoline. His mechanics tear the engine down and inspect various parts under high magnification and he notes he has tried all the premium oils out there, Quicksilver, Yamalube etc. and for his engines, havoline is the best. His theory is the flash point of this oil is lower then the others so it burns/vaporizes more completely leaving less residue or carbon fallout behind. He does admit that his mixing ratio is much less then we use in marine engines. Does anyone know if there are flashpoint statistics from these "premium" marine oil companies. Thanks Mark
