Flakes from risers manifolds when flushing

Hey!
Dry joints, freshwater, inspected and No leaks but when flushing with hose there are some flakes from rust(?) how to flush it correctly ?

So long as there is iron and water there will be flakes. In salt water there will be even more

Assuming open cooled. Fresh water and muffs, fire it up and let it run for a while. The whole time its running fresh water will be flushing mans and elbows. Won't happen as fast or as good with block because the thermostat will not stay open

Ayuh,.... That's why a ssteel 3" deck screw lives on my intake manifold,....
To bust up all the crud, when drainin' the motor,....
