Fixing large dent in Starcraft V-hull

I have on old '68 Starcraft. The trailer came off the truck on the way out to the lake and, needless to say, I got some pretty good dents in the boat when it flew off the road. The main one of concern is on the bottom of the hull, right up against the stern. Its about 3 ft long and 3" deep at the stern. Creased pretty good. I think the hull is too thick to try to "bang" out that far. My next idea is to bondo / resin in the dent so it doesn't grab so much water (the boat pulls to the left something fierce in the water). I just thought I'd check to see if there were any other ideas out there. Waddaya all think?

Bondo wont last at all first good wake it will pop right off . I would take it to a shop that specialises in pontoons and see what they have to say.

First of all Welcome Aboard..What model is your 68? Was a great year for Starcrafts, at least I think so..

I have to agree with Rick..You should take it to an aluminum specialist.Tin can be heated, but it's an art as it will warp something fierce and you'll have more of a hook than ya do now..Ya can't use Bondo, wouldn't recommend JB weld for anything that large either..

Good luck and we love pics, even of the boo-boos!
