My Evinrude 25 (1990) would start to run then die over and over. I replaced the fuel pump as the diaphragm return spring had collapsed. No Good still did it.
Put in a carb kit and cleaned out the carb. Replaced plugs, fuel lines,and bulb and hoses.No luck. Gave up and took it to the repair shop. $400+ dollars later with a new power pack it runs great.
Gave it a trial run yasterday and it ran strong. The fishing was excellant.

Thanks Blksmith 1 for reporting back.
Good to see that you are back fishing, and your motor is running. Many times it is hard to troubleshoot what the issue is with a misbehaving motor. Power packs it seems, can mimic other problem areas of a motor. "Fuel, Air, Ignition, and Combustion.
