First time upholstery job

Thought I might share that I was not about to pay the labor costs on reupholstering my side panels and motor box. So I purchased the material at a local yardage shop and dove in. Not all that bad if you take your time with it. Had to make new side panels (1/2 inch plywood) and then covered them with 1/4 inch foam and then the vinyl with edge beading. Motor box was also rotted out so used what I had for a pattern and then repeated the foam installation and then vinyl. Added the cup holder holes before I put on the vinyl. The motor box took some time figuring out the way to get material around the corners on the sides but it finally came out looking like this. NOT BRAGGING JUST SHARING.

Nicely Done Larry!! Definitely worth bragging about!!! Those angles on that dog house look difficult... much more than the ones on my coaming pads. Also looks like you went with seam piping which i opted against. What type of foam did you use? I went with 2 layers of sill seal and color matched my vinyl with seats.

Just used regular 1/4 inch foam seen on the picture of the box prior to putting vinyl on. Yes I used the piping material. Very easy to install once you get the hang of it. Also nice job on your work...
