Re: First time to Havasu

You all are making me miss Havasu Bad!!!! I grew up going to Black Meadow Landing with my friends parents. I haven't been there in probably 7 years. Bet they don't let you jump off of the rock at Copper Canyon anymore do they? I keep trying to talk my boating partners here in albuquerque to go to Havasu instead of our annual trip to Powell. I'll win out one of these days.

Oh they'll still let you splatter there if you want  I think my oldest jumped there last year.

They do run buoys down the middle of Copper now to make medical evacuation possible. The big raft ups were making it impossible for emergency workers to reach victims in the middle . . .

Re: First time to Havasu

I just bought a house in golden shores,.got a deal, as market is down,
looking forward to being closer to the river, as from dolan springs it takes over an hour,.even south cove lake mead take s time,.and the steep grade could be a transmission burn out.
so, in a few weeks I shall hang in topock gorge, almost everyday,.,.,.,:)
