That's my fault. For the first time ever in late Fall when it was still t-shirt weather I put the chains on my skidsteer rather than wait until I was knee deep in snow. Result, it is now late February and I haven't had to plow my lane once.
No fish ... no snow ... I see a recurring pattern here!:ROFLMAO::LOL::p

My bud in Door County has both his shanties on the lake and will be pulling them because the ice is starting to turn.

Thrill of Snow wears off in about 0.00000005 Seconds. I know if I never saw it again in my Life, I would certainly not miss it.

Hear ya....I would reallynlike snow if it was 70 degrees. Ohio here, not much of a winter this year. I do enjoy plowing snow in my heated side x side when we get enough....the problem is getting back into the warm house when I am done...long cold walk from the barn!

Any clue what this is for ? Lake Bemidji View attachment 375960View attachment 375961

Reminds of when we used to shovel snow to make a berm around an area to skate and play hockey on. After it was cleared water was pumped up to coat it and make a smooth (OK, somewhat smooth) surface to play on.

Going way back in time I can remember them cutting ice blocks to fill the ice house after clearing an area. I was too young to help cutting ice but old enough to help shovel sawdust into the ice house for insulation.

Up in New York state I also went to ice races with vehicles on a lake. All sorts of racers but the front wheel drive Saabs with spiked wheels did best. A race track maybe

It was running when I took this pic in April 1985. I hate snow
Been there. Mine was an April Nor'easter at Navy Base, Newport RI a few years before '85. Mine wouldn't start and opened the hood and saw why. Dug the snow from under the hood by hand. Didn't have a shovel so pulled a sign out of the ground by the post to dig the car out. The sign said "Chaplin's Parking Only." Another brick paving my road to you know where.

Too me it looks like a lake bowling lane . Lol!
It has a smoothed out round slot going the length of it down hill ..
Coolest news is I just got off a snow mobile we rode around for an hour or so ! I took it easy for the most part but what a blast !!
