nice looking boat! great job! hopefully my boat will turn out as well as your's seemed to! you should do a website with all those pictures from your project, as it would help plenty of people (including me). i'm taking pictures so i can have a detailed process website when i'm done, to help others as people have helped me so far.

You used tractor/implement paint? I was planning on doing the same for my boat. Did you use hardener?

curious, what is the $ total now. i'm looking at a 18' 79 Bonita bowrider. exterior hull is good, sure it needs transom, floor, and probably stringers.

minus motor , i have about $580.00 invested in materials . labor is a diffrent thing . i have alot of hours invested .

And as for the paint , no hardner none needed .the paint is a hard enamel with ceramic in it .its a tool / equipment paint , so its a very hard paint when dry .and at only $20.00 us gall i was happy lol very cheap . you can brush roll or spray the paint .and get a profetional look everytime , as long as your prep work has been done right .

That will be a fun boat, looks nice. Is that a 17', 18'? How many horseys are in the Evinrude? Do you plan to ski with it?

more information regarding the paint, please. where to buy, what brand, does it need a primer, etc. i am interested in painting my boat as well, and am in the process of sanding down the exterior. but at over $400 a gallon, i was deciding that the current paint isnt that bad
