Finally, a change of pace in my career

Well after a good solid year and a half of stressing out, interviewing and pursuing a new career oppurtunity that would be a good change of pace from what I do now, I am able to report SUCCESS!

It has been a gruelling process but the effort has finally paid off and I will begin my new job Monday. Wish me luck!

I left the insurance industry and joined the marketing industry. The job has similar characteristics (SQA Software Quality Assurance) but I am going from a very large company to a very small intimate company of 60. I was getting a bit turned off by the corporate culture in the past year and I am confident I will be working with hard working, intelligent, and determined folks like myself!

I'm not saying all corporate cultures are bad...but with my orginization it was getting a bit out of control. I went through 3 managers in the past 2 years, we've lost tons of talented employees that haven't been replaced and the direction is a bit misguided.

Our uppermanagement has been tossed around more than a john boat in a Tsunami and there is no clear vision.

Great news, I don't envy anybody looking for a job right now. I hear ya on the bureucracy, although I used to deal with gov't. Things are looking up, good luck.
