FIL had a stroke

My wife just called from the emergency room and told me her dad had a stroke. They're running some tests and we'll know more by the morning.<br /><br />I know I'm often a clown on here with my flippant remarks but now it's time to get serious. We could really use some prayer. Fortunately, he is here visiting us and my wife was able to take him to the ER while I stay home with the baby.<br /><br />Bob (my FIL) is a good man. We've been on several fishing trips where it was just the two of us and I have a lot of respect for him. In April, the two of us flew down to Florida for a fishing trip and watched Twins beat the Yankees in a preseason game. <br /><br />My son adores him and insists on sitting on "gaga's" lap 24/7 when we visit. I like to tell them that he's coo coo for gaga.<br /><br />My wife is being a trooper but I could tell that she wanted to cry on the phone.<br /><br />Please, you don't have to like me but say a prayer for Bob. Thanks.

Prayers have been said for Bob. While y'all are praying, please pray for my best friend's daughter, who at age 12, is having her second open-heart surgery tomorrow at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Fla.<br /> <br />Her name is Rachel Smith.

I am not only wishing, but praying on bended knee, for both Bob and Rachel. The miracles of Modern Medicine are amazing but the power of prayer is unmistakable.
