Hello. I have a 1998 FICHT 115hp that won't Idle. Dies under 1000rpm. Can't find a service manual for that exact year. System voltage is 27v and crank sensor reads 880 ohms. Any ideas or specs?
Thanks

Plugs are new and indexed
20 psi fuel pressure
spark and injectors all firing
.47 tps at idle
pulse pump diaphram holds vacuum
VST vent hose dry

Let it pass on to be with the outboard gods........invest your $$ in something you can get parts for.

The reason you can't find a service manual for a 98 115 FICHT, is there was no 115hp FICHT in 98, they didn't appear until 1999 model year

It appears I have 2 dead cylinders. Spark on both. Injectors are delivering while cranking, but maybe not enough at idle. Going to swap injectors to see if prob follows. Would be nice to know if 27volts is acceptable, and if 900 ohms on CPS is in range.
Thanks

Glad you found it!

Love to learn things, so out of curiosity...
System voltage at 27v, and 880-900ohms on the CPS was within the spec you found?
What were the limits on the specs you found anyway?

By saying you have 2 bad injectors... I take it the problem followed when you swapped?

Might have some used injectors laying around.-----My understanding is that injectors need to be matched to the ECU.----Dealer with computer / software could do this if you can find one.-----Part number on your bad injectors ?

These are the threaded injectors that screws into head with big lock nut.
