ficht upgrades

do the upgrades and all the little things like spark plug indexing and oil line check valves fix these motors? pre 2001.

I have a 2000 Ficht and I can tell you if you don't index the plugs it will not run right, the injectors will spray fuel right into the gap on the plug. I have always done it and never had a single problem in 700 plus hrs. and 3 years. Good Luck.

I have twin 1999 150's and had all the upgrades performed. In 4 years I have been lax when changing plugs and not indexed them, as previously stated it makes a big difference in carbon build up and performance. Take the time you will be happier in the long run.

It is where you point the gap in the spark plug at the fuel injector so the gas sprays into the spark rather than on the back of the electrode.
