Been making a new engine doghouse. Its my first time working with fiberglass and things have been going well till now.
I was mixing the last of the resin I had with some glass bubbles to finish fairing. I had the resin and the bubbles almost completely mixed and hadn't put the catalyst in yet when I had to run to the hospital (somehow my wife managed to cut the top of her hand while cutting cheese ).
I figured since I didn't want to buy more resin and I hadn't put the catalyst in yet I would be fine mixing it later. So the next day I finished mixing and spread that over the doghouse. That was a week ago and it still isn't solid yet. I can't sand it cause it just gums up the paper (big surprise there). Scraping it off is going to be a PITA but I have a feeling that's my only option.
Is there something else I can do?
thanks
