I have a 14ft Mirrocraft boat. I know I see a lot of the boats on the water named mirrocraft and they are all aluminum. I can't really say that I have ever seen another mirrocraft that is fiberglass. I read on their site that they recently purchased a fiberglass boat company but all of those boats are to big and to new to be like this. This is just a little tri-hull boat with the seats that go across for port to starboard. I know this is a fiberglass boat for sure. Anything will be of help, I'm googling about this to but anything you find to will help. Sorry for the novel:redface:

Re: Fiberglass Mirrocraft?

The first number is off the back starboard side of the transom. Its very hard to read so it may be off by some numbers. MRRG001or778M74A . It says on the inside on a red sticker "by laws blah blah blah this boat has a 4 person capacity at 150lb per person and gear. There is a legit capacity plate next to it but it is unreadable. Any help is appreciated. The stuff in red is either a 1 or 7 It is very unreadable.

Hopefully someone else can help. The only information I can find is aluminum from Mirrocraft.

Re: Fiberglass Mirrocraft?

You have a hull ID number. That identifies the boat. Call or e-mail the factory. MirroCraft is still alive and well and they are located in Wisconsin. My son-in-law is still running my '96 Pro Striker. One thing you may be dealing with is that someone bought this boat (which really is not a MirroCraft) but they needed a hull ID number to register it. What usually happens is the owner obtains a hull ID plate from a lesser known manufacturer (which MirroCraft is) and they stick it on the boat. Stursa boats used to be made in my home town and a gent out on the east cost recently inquired about one that he had. Turns out Stursa never made a glass boat, never made a runabout, or any other style of boat except small aluminum fishing boats. If the hull ID number is actually molded into the glass, this is probably a "real" MirroCraft. In that case the factory should be able to tell you what it is.

Re: Fiberglass Mirrocraft?

Its got the Mirrocraft logo riveted into the side by what looks to be the same rivets as the strip around the edge. I know its an original Mirrocraft because the serial is molded in the hull. Its really old and unreadable, but i know its the same one because its on the card. I will have to call one of these days thanks.

When I was growing up, my father owned a 14' tri-hull fiberglass boat. It came with bench seats, but he tore them out, put in two pedal seats and built a small front deck. So, yes they did make them. My father got it in the early to mid 70's, F/V Musky Hunter

That's nice. But this thread is 12 years old.
