Hey all, got a 14 ft tri hull that seems to have sprung a couple of leaks on the hull. There has been water sitting inside the boat for a while which apparently has corroded and ate through the bottom or middle hull. I?d like to learn something and try to fix it myself. I guess I need to tear up the decking so I can access the hull from inside the boat, and also let it dry out? I do hate to tear up the decking because its covered in glass and seems pretty solid. Would it be easier to cut out a portion of the decking as opposed to ripping up all of the decking? I?m assuming I need to grind out the rust and soft portions from inside and outside the boat, then fiberglass it? Any helpful advice would be appreciated. TY

Most of the time when you open it up you'll find a lot more work to do than you expected. You can cut a small hole to start with, but will probably remove all of it shortly after inspecting it.
