I am still trying to figure out whats wrong with my motor, at the lake it dropped 246 cyl, left key on on the way home and the following day, started tinkering with it and now dont have any spark on any cyl. I am just waundering if this could have burned up the rectifier and caused the switchboxes to loose power.
What does the stator, trigger, idle stabalizer, rectifier, switchboxxes, and there is a little valve appearing thing that goes to all the carbs do?
Also i unhooked one of the yellow wires going to the rectifier and hooked it to the red wire on it, it made current and that gave me power to my bottom switchbox which runs 246, but still no power at the top, which is totally contradictory to my theory because that was the box that went out first, please any ideas orinfo would be greatly appreciated, Thanks Caleb

You desperately need a manual. If you put 12V to the switchbox you most likely blew it if it wasn't already blown. Your outboard runs from power supplied from the stator, not the battery. Thats not to say you don't need the battery as you will damage your charging circuit running without it.
