Good to know.Maybe that's why you hardly ever see the Taylor models in use.
In the past I used mooring cleats and looped the fender line thru them. But they are not always in the ideal positions.
For the past 10 years we have used the SS Perko fender locks. The actually look attractive and have a rubber insert that holds the key in place. You actually have to "snap" them to get them to come out.
That was my thought as well. I don't know who patented them first, but if the second one found out the screw hole spacing was the same, it might be cause for litigation.it would be nice if the screw holes matched the existing [inadequate] ones that are currently on my boat from the factory.
Just to clarfy...That was my thought as well. I don't know who patented them first, but if the second one found out the screw hole spacing was the same, it might be cause for litigation.
Just for grins and giggles, I measured mine....1" center to center. I'd be curious to know what the other one was...
Yes, perko is all I have. The od is 1.5, so it would likely cover the old holes anyway.Just to clarfy...
I'm assuming you are talking about the Perko ones having the 1" spacing.
Thanks for that measurement.
The cheapo ones on my boat have a spacing of 1-1/8", so it won't be a direct fit with the existing holes.
I don't know the spacing of the ones on the OP's boat. Well worth it to check.
That item looks like the hook you place your VHF mic!Can anyone identify these fender clips and where to get them? I need a couple more for another boat that has these style brackets installed, and would like to have a spare or two on hand. Thanks.
Just look up Perko fender locks, I found them no problem. That item looks like the hook you place your VHF mic!
