What sounds good for a good evening Dinner? Had round steak and mushroom gravy last Sunday. Don't say spagettii....please. A good chili recipe would be good...not to hot though....herself wouldn't eat it. A nice mild sausage recipe also sounds nice.

Right now anything sounds good..... :) . I got soup beans on the agenda for next weekend. But this week is open.

Any of you "Knights of the Kitchen" got any good recipes.....I'm open.

Since the weather is cold, how 'bout a pot roast or meat loaf and mashed taters or chicken and dumplings?

YUM Bondo, sounds great.

Good recipe neumanns, I love taco soup. Its real hardy.

I use hamburger meat, onion, kidney beans, pinto beans, black beans, corn, 2 cans of Rotel, a seasoning packet of Good Seasons ranch dressing and a taco seasoning packet. Serve with fritos in it.

Super easy. You might want to double the recipe, this stuff is addicting.

LOL at Bondo. You know when I lived in N.Y we always had crackers with our chili. When I moved to Texas they serve rice with it.

These days I eat my chili without beans and serve it with chopped onions and grated longhorn cheese on top and flour tortillas. I converted but I do miss the back home chili.

Without Beans..........

Up here in the Great White North,.......
We NEED the After-Burner effect.............. :D :D

I should add...like ladyfish says, use Rotel not rotella.....Isn't rotella motor oil!

My recipie actually calls for double that amount of hot stuff but the kid's dont do hot...I think your wife will find the tempature fine at the levels I use.

Hmmm...Perhaps I shall try lf's variations next time.

The only bad thing about this recipie is the left overs are better than the first go and I have to compete with my wife for them.

Thanks for the recipe OMC, I miss Chicken Riggies. :(

Thats one thing you won't find in Texas. The last time I was in NY I had them in Utica, they put hot cherry peppers in theirs, it was really good.

Hey, if you have a good escarole soup recipe I'd love to have it.

LF see the revised recipe. :D Did you have them at Carmellas cafe in Utica? They are supposed to be the best in Utica. My recipe is very close but my sauce is much richer and I go heavy on the seasoning.

Re: Feeling Kitchen Creativity Coming On

WOW! So many good recipes...... :) :) I printed the whole page cause I couldn't decide which I liked best.

Right now on the stove is a pot with 1 1/2lb browned ground round with seasoning and chili pepper added while browning. Two cans stewed tomatoes (love the way they smell). Two cans spicey chili beans and juice and one can kidney beans drained. One can tomatoe paste and one can tomatoe sauce.....and some more diced onion. Really smellin' gooooooooood in the house right now..... :)

All the kids showed up so I threw on a pot of little sausages and BBQ sauce. Next thing I know there's a veggie tray and a meat and cheese tray also. Hold'm off till chili time.
