Feed to hot water cylinder

Can anyone assist and let me know which is the flow and which is the return on to two fittings and if i want to do away with feeding the old cylinder from these can i just loop the two fitting together.
Help always appreciated.

do you mean a heater core? if so, just cap/plug them.

the port on the pump is the return, the port on the manifold is the supply. however just plug them if you want to remove the heater core.
