We all seem to love our sunsets/rises don't we?


How about a big (65 boats) raft up to listen to a band at the sandbar. We provided the generator to power the band.


A nice quiet post-Labor day at the sandbar. Ended up just staying on the hook overnight. Not to many of those left for this year. :blue:

You have a good eye. Very close, it's actually a Colt (PA22-108), but mine was converted to taildragger and it has the O290 so it's essentially a Pacer without flaps.

I've flown out of there many times. Ate at the restaurant there many years ago. Hung out at Monkey island too.... Very cool!

Yes, sir, another good eye on the forum! I took those during one of my Solo XC's for flight training several years ago. 3O9 was right outside the 50nm mark to make it an XC, so I thought, why not? We have had various lake houses on Grand (Monkey Island, Honey Creek, and Horse Creek) throughout the years, so I have been to this airport several times to eat and watch aircraft. I was only taxiing in the first pic, so no danger in snapping the pic that looks like I'm going into the water, lol.

I wanted to get up to Torch lake this year. I'll have to try again next.
