I have a 2011 Mercury 4 stroke 25 hp outboard that I purchased new from a dealer. It has does everything well, everything that you would expect from a new motor, but occasionally during cruise the RPMs will drop to idle accompanied by the warning horn and light. The coolant witness stream is not overly hot, there will be no obstructions around the inlets and the oil is fine. I will shut it down, wait a minute or 2 and then it will run fine again. I have taken it back to the dealer and they have looked it over and can't find anything wrong with it. Has anyone else had this problem?
