F115 losing power when trimming

Why would my Yamaha F115 lose power when I attempt to trim the motor? I was running at about 30mph not accelerating or decelerating. It was running fine until I tried the trim. New battery, charged up, 600 cca(i think).

Check for loose or corroded connections, bad cables, do a voltage test across cables and no wing nuts on battery posts use lock nuts.
