I noticed a small pool of oil under my 2000 yamaha f100 yesterday. I ususally store the boat with the engine level (no tilt). However the engine has been in a tilted position of about 30 degress for about 10 days. The oil is coming out a small hole thats located in the front of the lower unit between the two finst. Its above the gear lube fill port plus it looks feels and smells like motor oil not lube. I suspect the seal on the oil pump...anyone got any thoughts. If it is the seal can I run the engine?
