Need to extend one bank of cables on my Guest charger to the bow area of the boat. Guest says use 10 AWG cable. Minn Kota makes a set that are 12 AWG. The Minn Kota chargers for this cable extension are 10 AMP/5A per bank, just like the Guest 2611A. Don't see why the Minn Kota 15' extension wouldn't work, unless I'm missing something.
I also have a spare set of 8 AWG cables running to the bow I could use. Would using these hurt the charger?
Re: Extension Cables for Guest 2611A Onboard Charger
If Guest said 10ga, and they knew the length you wanted to extend, any larger size wire will work. Make sure you move the fuses to be close to the batteries.
