Thanks for all the inputs. First things first, it's a 3/4 ton 2wd, so yeah, there ARE some concerns of traction. It does have a posi rear end, new load range E tires, and the low gears, so I think it will be okay. I also added airbags in the rear. Both the trailers I looked at have electric brakes, and I have a nice controller.

As far as how the local enforcement will take it, I'm not sure. Theres a gentleman that also fishes out there with a sea ray 270, and he doesnt even run wide load banners or anything. And he hauls with a gas 3/4 ton Ford. Somehow. My distance to travel is around 5 miles, if that. And it will be during non peak traffic times, as I will be launching before sunrise, and leaving before noon.

I think I might give it a try and see. I wont really know how tough it is until I do it. If nothing else, as it was mentioned, I can dry slip it at a few different places on the root river. At the very least, I cut the ties from the marina for their outrageous winter storage and launching fees, and can work on the boat as I please. Thats half of the big boat battle.
