exhaust,steam,water

1985 70 hp johnson has 2 small holes about 1 inch dia.
in the aft side of the cowling just below the eng cowl.
With eng warmed up and running, out come some water
and steam and also some exhaust. Is this normal? What are they for?

Can someone please explain?

exhaust relief ports for when the motor is idling, not enough pressure to push it out the prop. do you have a good stream of water from the tale tell?
