"Excessive" Oil In Gas!

1987 Johnson, 140hp, VRO outboard is really oily and coming out of the carbs dripping everywhere especially when tilted. I added a picture of the gas and immediately thinking of the oil pump/mixture "thing". Is this an easy fix? I'd like to consider pre-mixing the gas to by-pass this issue. I haven't yet did this and was wondering is it as simple as removing all the oil and disconnecting the alarm sensor? Anyone familiar with this oil issue? Is it as simple as replacing check balls/springs or the such? Thx

I just had a similar problem on my 1995 Johnson 175........was smoking like crazy. I found a tear in 1 of the diaphragms.
I just rebuilt the VRO pump w/ very good results.
Used this Kit, not sure if its the same for you engine......

I thought that might be an issue, but didn't want to tear it all apart but all connections are snug and no gas dripping out any where. I just saw a video it doesn't look too bad. I appreciate it.

When those caps don't Vent they pressurize the tank. And yours is old enough to have a bad cap.

Hold true to all years with VRO/OMS systems...the vent in cap goes bad

Figured that would create a vacuum rather than pressurize the system.......

A piston pump generates both pressure and vacuum.
