I finally got it out! pic.jpg
I ended up shaving the edges off of a cheap 7/16 flare wrench and with the help of a little pb blaster and a heat gun it finally started turning. Sure enough the 0 ring was shot. Now should I just add a new o ring and just screw it back on? Or should I add some sort of adhesive to the thread?

Adhesives will do nothing since its a compression seal. If the o-ring does it's job, it shouldn't leak.

I'm not a Volvo guy or know where that hose connects to on the other end..... But that fitting looks pretty rounded off and beat up, I'd consider replacing the hose as it might not come out the next time.

I generally apply a little teflon pipe dope to the threads . It helps fight against corrosion and maybe you won't need heat or pb blaster the next time. And don't loose that wrench.

Or Anti-Seize to the threads.

Don't even think about using EVER-Seize on SS fittings going into aluminum. That will seize it together forever. Some permatex gasket sealer works better than anything on those threads. It's not there to seal anything, it just keeps the salt water out of the threads.

As long as people don't confuse it with teflon tape it should work fine. It's only there to seal water out of the threads.
