Exact fit speedi sleeve for 865492T yoke ?

So Can I will place the sleeve right on the groove ? Since above the groove is nice and clean surface it's the groove and bottom pitting I want to cover up.. is that ok? Or will the top edge of the sleeve maybe interfere with the top lip of the seal ? Or is it tapered inwards so there should be no issue right? Does the seal even bottom out on the yoke or where does it usually sits ? Middle of yoke?

Got the 99227 sleeve today looks like exact fit .. if i push it all the way in I can keep the flange ? It might not cover the very top tip but I don't think the seal rides that high anyways right ?

Ok guys I installed the new sleeve .. looks good ? It's flush on top and can I leave the flange on bottom?
