Evinrude XP 150 V6 finding the date code

I have an aquaintane who recently aquired an Evinrude XP 150 v6 and we were trying to decipher the year of this motor as the Model # is E150STLCTE and the Ser,# J0264910 and I not sure what digits are the year of manufacture or date code but Im guessing maybe it would be a 1991 but any help would sure be appreciated...........

It is a 1983, as indicated by the date code CT in the model number. The "S" in the model code immediately after the hp indicates that it is indeed a crossflow XP engine. The XP models had extra factory modifications and ran close to 10% more hp than a base 150. It has 175 carbs and high compression heads, stiff lower motor mounts and the vented cowling with special decals. When new, that engine came with unlimited power packs which are NLA.
