I have 1978 115hp Evinrude that wont start. It has a elec. fuel pump on it so you don't have to pump the bulb to prime it. The pump starts when you turn the key on. Last summer it was running fine in the morning. I went home and went back to the lake in the evening and it wouldn't start. I am not sure but I think the key was left on and the elec. fuel pump was pumping gas for quite some time. Does it need carb work or is the fuel pump on the motor bad?
When I get the motor running do I need fresh gas? It hasn't been run since last July.
