evinrude will noy idle

60 hp mod#e6oelcds ser#j1208566 high idle is fine will not go down to low idle .move lever down it dies . have cleaned carbs . any help would be appreciated

That model should have an idle adjustment screw.Have you tried adjusting it?

i have no manual and am not sure where the idle screw is . i do not want to mess any thing up so i am very cautious .thanks for any help you can give also some one mentioned the purge tube behind the starter wow would i check that thank you
