Evinrude trolling motor, had to buy it

Spotted this at a garage sale. Looked to be in good shape. I thought it would look good next to my 9.5
Anyone ever have one of these? The handle speed control moves in and out about 1/2 inch. Wonder if there is a purpose for that?

Neat find alumadude. A lot of trolling motors have telescoping handles on them. Yours may even come out more than 1/2". They just make them a little easier to operate, but that's all.

Discovered speed control in/out is for forward/reverse.
Anyone know how many lbs thrust it makes?
