Evinrude Starflite V (5)?

Hi, I'm new to this forum, new to boating in fact. I recently bought a 14' 1968 Razorback with a 75hp Evinrude Starflite motor ('68?). Does anyone have any knowledge of either the motor or the boat brand

google the outboard model number for the correct yr.

try another section for the boat.

the 75hp johnsons are said to be good engines.
simple to work on, no stinkin computers.

Hey Flashback, A 75HP motor on a 14 foot boat is unusual. The boat may be dangerously overpowered. Check for a max power capacity plate attached to the boat, and by all means be careful operating it.

BTW that motor is pretty heavy for that boat as well. Watch to see if it pulls the transom under.

You missed it by 5 years. It is a 1963. Condition is everything, if in good condition, they are good motors. If in poor condition, hang onto your wallet.
