Evinrude no spark conditions 70-100hp

I've been looking for an Evinrude/Johnson for my Nephews boat in the 70-100hp range,and most of the ones for sale have no spark. What's the most common cause?

It could be such a wide variety of things, but maybe a year would narrow the possibilities down.

That's a tough call. Could be a lot of things, but the most common components to fail are coils, powerpack, and plug wires. Could be as simple as bad grounds, or bad plugs too.
