hey fellow boaters Quick question. Does anyone have a link to where I can get a replacement key and ignition switch for an Evinrude control box? The engine is an 1973 85 hp Evinrude and the key broke off in the ignition. Thanks for the help.
Hey Joe. I don't know if I got a spare key or what when I bought the boat but I couldn't locate any numbers on the switch itself or the key. One other problem is that the whole ignition switch just feel apart. It is a 3 position, 5 terminal with the little hook key for lack of a better term.
Replace that switch with the improved 5 terminal switch, OMC #386947 which lists for about $48.00 or $49.00. If you don't find one here on this website, I have a few left in my remaining stock.
