Evinrude Fleetwin 7.5 S/N 7522-19453

I was recently given an old Evinrude outboard. As stated in my topic the S/N is 7522-19453. From the appearance of the motor I had guessed it to be a mid 70's vintage but from reading in your forums here I now know that it dates from the mid to late 50's. Can anyone narrow that down for me? and perhaps point me to where I might find a shop manual for this motor?

i've got a 55 15hp rude. the best on i have out 4. i think the secret to good starts is if you have a built in tank turn the petcock off, or external tank disconect, and let in run out of gas on its on. done this with this one since day one, carb has never been touched.

"Xcusme" Thanks for the info. Now I just need a source for parts. The motor was supposedly run a few years ago, without any trouble. My first big problem is the fuel line on the tank is rotten so I cannot get fuel to the engine... No one I've talked to so far seems to know about the two line system on this motor. I'd be greatful for any suggestions offered.

Be sure to use only 24:1 ratio fuel, spotsink.

Try laingsoutboard.com or vintageoutboard.com. Both them have the double line. Oh, and maxrules.com. Iboats even sells it but only in 50' reels as far as I can tell.<br />I noticed this interesting site a while back.
