Hi, I have an old Evenrude Fisherman 6hp Model 6802C - I have engine and fuel tank but no fuel line - can anyone give me a link or source where I might purchase one?

Thank you,

Fuel hoses are available from your local Evinrude dealer or marina. You can also check with your local Wlamart but you might need to buy the Evinrude connectors separately as the hose is universal.

Thank you - I think I need different connectors than the ones on the walmart kits - the one I purchased which was supposed to be for Evinrude would not fit - there is an additional prong on both the tank and the engine which would not allow me to connect it up.

There is a really good online marine supply store that can sell you exactly what you need....they run an excellent on line forum, too.;)
They are only two doors down from this forum.......just click above where it says "Marine Store"..:D

FYI, by the Model number you gave, the engine crosses as a 1968 model on the BRP website;

What sounds weird is you say you have an extra prong on your fuel line connectors. By '68 Evinrude was using a single line fuel system, and it sounds like someone put two line hardware on your engine with an old style pressure tank.
Take a look at the connections on the tank and motor. Do one of the prongs say Fuel and the other one says air?
If thats the case, it sounds like maybe a previous owner adapted the motor to an old tank they had.

Take a look and let us know what you find.

Maybe post a pic of your tank fitting and the motor fitting.
This does not make sense as outlined.
Have you actually run this yourself?

A standard fuel line with primer bulb and OMC fittings should fit your engine and tank. They are "two prong". (see attached picture) One connector, the shorter spring loaded one, is for the fuel. The longer one with the groove cut into it is to lock the hose to the connector. By coincidence, my 2007 Merc 6 HP has a similar connection. My 72 Johnson 6 HP, and 86 9.9 HP Johnson (pictured) has the standard OMC connection.

I have seen these fuel hose assemblies at walmart, West marine, and Defender marine from $10-20.

If for some odd reason, yours got converted to the old dual line pressure tank setup, then you will need to find that line instead, which is not a common thing to find in stores.

Be careful saying that, it's a similar looking connection, but not the same.

As you can see the prongs are a bit shorter on the OMC style connector.

Duly noted. Thank you for pointing that out :cool:
