evinrude fastwin 18 trouble

HI Everyone!I have a evinrude serial number 15020-16555 18 horse evinrude fastwin.I just bought it and the motor will run for a couple of minutes then it starts bucking and then slowly dies.I put new fuel lines and no leaks.It looks like some oil leaks around the fly wheel.Someone told me it could be a oil leak that's getting on the pointsI'll pull and pull maybe10 times and finially it starts runs good bucks then dies.Does anyone have any ideas what's wrong.Thank you driftwood.

Your motor is a 1957. Oily points is a real possibility. Another real possibility is coils. Unless they have already been replaced, they are bad....count on it. Whatever, the flywheel has to come off to check it out.
