Re: Evinrude e-tec or Yamaha 4 Stroke
So the 2-stroke E-tech 90 hp is $6,299 (without shipping, controls, etc) and 305 lbs.

A digital EFI 4-stroke Johnson 90 hp is cheaper at $5,999. (A proven Classic Merc 90 hp 2-stroke is cheaper at $4,999. Even a proven Yamaha 90 hp 2-stroke is cheaper at 5,299).

If weight is a concern, the Yamaha 90 2-stroke is over 40 lbs lighter. In fact, almost all the other 2-strokes are lighter.

I hope the E-tech leaves the rest in the dust. I love Bombardiers. But until then, I'm not going to bite on the hype.

I'd like to see the specs on Evinrude's web site. It's odd that dealers supposidly have complete specs and the outboards are being shipped, but we can't find specs directly from Evinrude.
