I know everyone has heard of evinrudes new e-tec. No maintenantce for 3 years? I don't know. Ill give it a while to work out the problems. But really would anyone but this right now? I can't wait for the recalls this summer!

I agree. But bombardier does back all thier products better than most allready. A new Evinrude is not the same today as a new evinrude was in 1999. But I agrree on the 'wait-n-see'.

Wait and see? Thats an understatement! Lol! I tried to see them in Miami and couldnt get close the first two days. Too many Merc and Yamaha shirts around them. Literally. <br /><br />A very neat deal!

I think it's great what Bomb is doing, they're sticking to their guns and pushing 2-stroke technology forward. Boaters can only benefit. It's hard to beat the power/weight ratio of a 2 -stroke. Bomb isn't the same crappy company that OMC was. THey picked up good brand names on the cheap and ran with it.

there is no concern re product viability this is a porduct that they spent the time and energy to develop from the ground up everything is new and 100% bullet proof I think it will be one of the greatest anvancements in marine outboards since thru hub exhaust

I think only time will tell, I really hope the E-tec is everything Bombardier says it is. Please dont be too hard on old OMC they did a great job in their day. They had a hard time turning the corner when tecnology did. OMC still built some of the best outboards on the water. E-tec wont be perfect, Im excieted and hoping that its very good.

Just think , fellows the rice burners manufactures will have copy us again---if they are as good as they are advertised to be , well maybe the dealers will use those yamma's for arificial reefs --hehehe and ya won't have to wait for a ship to bring ya parts. yee haw for this side of the great ocean . :D
